Jun 21, 2017 at 6:31 | comment | added | Jörg W Mittag | How to Design Programs (aka HtDP) uses both pre-/postconditions and testing extensively, and it is directed explicitly at high schoolers. Even if you are not using it, there may be some inspiration in there. The authors are currently working on a draft for a second edition, which you might want to read instead. The material about imperative programming has been removed, and is going to be covered in the as-of-yet unwritten second volume How to Design Components, but you can get those chapters from the first edition.

Jun 20, 2017 at 19:04 | comment | added | Cort Ammon | If you can find a way to stress the importance of testing code among a group of developers being paid to develop code, that would be a good start. Still searching for that one .... =)

add age range
|
Jun 20, 2017 at 17:17 | comment | added | TRiG | @Jackson1442. I have no idea what "grade 9" means. Ideally, give us an age range. Failing that, at least tell us what country you're in, so I can go look up your schooling system and edit that information into the question myself.
