Questions on promoting fairness, especially the inclusion of groups underrepresented in computer science.

Questions on Equity will concern methods for ensuring fair treatment of all students regardless of the student's individual situation or characteristics.

Equity is especially important for factors outside the individual student's control, such as race or sex, but it is not limited to that. Factors such as poverty and societal discrimination are known to have negative impact on outcomes that can be mediated by some educational practices. The same is true of certain medical conditions, etc.

Equity questions can include guidance on aiding members of underrepresented groups succeed in the classroom, but also beyond.
