One rule might be that if you don't meet the deadline you don't get to do re-work. Variations are possible, such as a minimum score on the first version. Without re-work, however, deadlines can be as firm as in any other system. The scheme doesn't have to make it hard on the instructor and there are techniques for easing the pain on marking re-work. For example, the old work is turned in with the new, and all in a folder. You can have students mark changes between versions. | |
